The Da Vinci Tower, designed by architect David Fisher of Dynamic Architecture is scheduled to be built in Dubai 2020. The 80-story mixed-use building will have the ability to rotate 360 degrees, offering spectacular views in every direction. But rotating floors won’t be all its inhabitants will experience, there’s more! Voice-activated technology will allow residents to spin their apartments with voice command capability.
Parking will never be an issue for these lucky apartment dwellers. A special elevator located inside the central concrete core will allow residents to transport their vehicle to their floor and park it next to their apartment! Solar panels on the rooftop and horizontal wind turbines between the floors will provide energy for the tower.
The towers separate floors will be structurally sound as well as flexible making it highly resistant to seismic activity. Each unit will be prefabricated of steel, aluminum and carbon fiber and assembled at a factory, then attached to the tower. Individual units are estimated to cost anywhere from $4 million to $40 million each.
Excitement is building, London, Paris, and Milan have expressed an interest in similar structures.
